EAST MEETS WEST ALL STAR SERIES

March 16, 17, 18 • Brookings, SD (Larson Ice Center)

The first Annual South Dakota (SODAK) Selects will be offered to seven age divisions based on their level of play during the 2011-12 season. The youngest division will be Major Mites, followed by Minor Squirt, Major Squirt, Minor Peewee, Major Peewee, Minor Bantam and Major Bantam (Minor = first year player; major = second year player).

East Division

The East Division will be made up of players from the following associations for Winter Hockey: Sioux Falls, Brookings, Yankton and Mitchell, SD and Sioux Center, IA.

West Division

The West Division will be made up of players from the following associations for Winter Hockey: Rapid City, Pierre, Aberdeen, Huron and Watertown.

The Sodak Select Series will offer each team one practice Friday evening (jersey handouts at this time), One game Saturday morning/early afternoon followed by a Skills competition for all age divisions featuring speed, shooting accuracy, shot speed and king of the hill shootout. A final game will be played Sunday morning with a brief overtime if the series is tied. All games will be three 17 minute stop time periods. Each team will have 15 skaters and two goalies.

The player fee will be: $150
Coaches choose their own players to fill their team.
